Thursday, September 4, 2008 we are racing this week 9-6 CHARLOTTE COUNTY MOTORSPORTS PARK RACING FOR SEPT 6th With two weeks off due to mother nature, CCMP, the 3/8 mile asphalt track in Punta Gorda is ready for some great racing action and the sun is suppose to be with us all weekend,:-) the Sportsman return to do battle for 50 laps of always fast paced action, who can beat the 79 of Steve Gainey out of Bradenton, who has won the last three in a row and is "gaining" on the points leader Aaron Williamson. Open Wheels will run a 50 lap feature, will points leader and winner of the last race Wayne "the rocket man" Jefferson make it two in a row. The legends return for a big national race and are expected to have over twenty legends for this big race. Also running will be Road Warriors, Thunder Trucks, Pro 4 and Fab 4 there will be a FIGURE 8 RACE, RUN WHAT YA BRUNG AND HOPE YA BRUNG ENOUGH, that consists of big cars, little cars, trucks and even sportsman. And the big "FAN FAVORITE, FIGURE 8 BOAT RACE" Fans need to get there early because the Sportsman will be running early so some drivers can run two tracks in one night, CCMP supports drivers that can do that in these times and wish them the best of luck.
